Garlicare and Anhui Agricultural University Established Student Internship Base

 

December 20, 2024 – Anhui Garlicare Bio-Tech Co., Ltd. and Anhui Agricultural University (AAU) jointly inaugurated a student internship and practice base, marking a significant step in deepening industry-education integration. The ceremony was attended by representatives from both parties, including Xia Chengyun, Party Secretary of AAU’s College of Materials and Chemistry; professors Lü Xianhai, Yang Hua, Chang Xihao, and Wang Dandan; alongside Garlicare leadership Capa (Chairman), Gao Hengyuan (Assistant General Manager), and Wang Yiyou (Technical Quality Manager).

Secretary Xia congratulated both parties on the collaboration and provided an overview of the College of Materials and Chemistry. Established in 2023, the college originated from disciplines such as forestry and sericulture under the former Anhui Agricultural College. It now comprises six departments: Forest Products Industry, Materials Science and Engineering, Applied Chemistry, Textile Engineering, Apparel Engineering, and Packaging Engineering. The college offers a doctoral program in Forestry Engineering (with a postdoctoral research station), a master’s program in Chemistry, and a professional master’s program in Materials and Chemical Engineering.

 

Secretary Xia emphasized that the partnership would bridge academic training with corporate innovation: “This base will integrate talent development, practical training, and student entrepreneurship with corporate services and technological advancement. It will foster a win-win scenario where industry talent needs align with university graduate employment.”

 

Chairman Capa welcomed the delegation and detailed Garlicare’s key projects, including comprehensive utilization of natural spices like garlic and ginger, a sustainable garlic demonstration base, and a food safety traceability system. He reiterated the company’s mission: “Garlicare remains dedicated to advancing high-quality development in the garlic, ginger, and agricultural processing industries while cultivating skilled professionals through innovation.”

 

Wang Yiyou, Technical Quality Manager at Garlicare and newly appointed Part-Time Master’s Supervisor for AAU, expressed honor in his role: “This appointment is both a privilege and a responsibility. We aim to translate academic research into practical solutions, allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world projects.” He further proposed collaborations in expanding employment opportunities, joint research, and commercializing academic to maximize resource sharing and advance industry-education synergies.

 

The ceremony included in-depth discussions on industry-academia integration, talent development, and internship programs, with both parties pledging to deepen cooperation.  Secretary Xia and Chairman Capa then jointly unveiled the plaque for the “Anhui Agricultural University Student Employment Internship Base”.

 

Following the ceremony, the AAU delegation toured Garlicare’s R&D and testing labs, gaining insights into the company’s advancements in food safety traceability, product testing systems, and process innovation. The delegation praised Garlicare’s contributions to both its own growth and the sustainable development of the industry.
